Millennium Fellowship Project: Go Green Initiative
Go Green is an ambitious initiative that focuses on bringing together the primary and
middle school children from under priviledged background from poor and lower middle
class families and educate them from the basics about the science behind climate
change and its effects. This has been specifically targeted as they are the most
affected yet least aware section of society. Apart from a comprehensive education
objective , to teach them how to volunteer in their own way to lobby for climate action
and teach them to think critically about policies sorrounding the same.
The goal is to create such awarness from an young age in cultural specific and
practical ways to ensure maximum understanding.
About the Millennium Fellow
Tejas is an Undergraduate student studying business administration and finance at Christ University in Bangalore, Karnataka , India. Tejas is fervent about driving the use of specialized knowledge towards solving leading 21st century problems , in particular , climate change. His aim is to increase the stock of knowledge amongst backward communities characterized by limited literacy / illiteracy about climate science. He believes that he can leverage his expertise on business models and related finances involved to this cause. Upon graduation , he plans to devote longer expanding the scope of this project at bigger levels.
