Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Esha
Esha is a Sanskrit word meaning "pure". With this project, I aimed to spread awareness regarding the pressing issue of plastic waste generation, disposal, segregation and management in the communities nearby. The same was achieved through the means of cleanup drives, interviews and other research techniques. The core objective of the project was to create a positive social impact by empowering sustainable waste management practices.
About the Millennium Fellow
Unnati Saini is a second-year student pursuing a B.Sc. Psychology Honours at Christ (Deemed to be University), Yeshwanthpur Campus, Bengaluru. Unnati is extremely passionate about the issues related to sanitation and sustainability, especially women's health that plague the world. She has been exposed to various social settings where the absence of proper disposal of non-biodegradable waste has claimed the safety of those around her. She hopes to work towards a more clean and healthy environment through this program.
