Millennium Fellowship Project: Ecologene

Our project Ecologene aims to deal with the issue of excessive plastic usage and
littering in our local area of Bangladesh which located in University of Chittagong,
Chattogram. To address these issues, we target was to supply some samples of jute
bags as alternative to plastic bags in our local grocery shops and customers and to
provide some leaflets for public awareness.

About the Millennium Fellow

Ibrahim Khalilullah Siyam, a 7th semester Environmental Science student at University of Chittagong. He's passionate abut natural resource management and renewable energy. As a resident of Chittagong city he always love to observe the natural process of different elements of the environment. Through his project, he hopes to help the peoples of his campus in ensuring clean water supply. After he graduates, Siyam plans to earn a master's degree in geology and soil science and work in a field regarding natural resources.
