Millennium Fellowship Project: Smart Innovative EcoTechAI for Sustainable Future-SIETAISF
Smart Innovative Sustainable Development and Eco Initiative-SISDEI is a project that aims to promote sustainable development and eco practices in Sitakunda Upazill, Chattogram, Chittagong University in Bangladesh. The project seeks to engage students and stakeholders in awareness-building and initiatives related to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and United Nations Academy Impact (UNAI) goals, with a particular focus on SDG-9, SDG-11, SDG-13 and UNAI-9. The project will collaborate with educational institutions and organizations to promote a sustainable and livable environment for the community.
Chattogram and Sitakunda upazilas being seaports and economic zones, the rapid expansion of industrial activities in the region has already caused significant damage to the environment and is likely to worsen in the future. The project provide sustainable solutions to some of the major environmental problems in the region, such as protecting mountains and forests, preventing water pollution, preventing land degradation, preventing health hazards, generating renewable energy through waste management, achieving quality education.
The project is a valuable initiative that will help to the environment and promote sustainable development in Sitakunda upazila and Chattogram. The project will play an important role in building a smart Bangladesh by taking the necessary measures to develop skilled human resources to face the technological fourth industrial revolution।The project will provide people with continuous innovative and eco-friendly ideas to achieve these four pillars in Smart Bangladesh, respectively Smart Citizen, Smart Society, Smart Economy, Smart Government.
About the Millennium Fellow
MOHD.JAKIRUL ISLAM is a student at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, under the Faculty of Engineering, University of Chittagong. He is a member of Youth Parliament Bangladesh and the Founder and CEO of:
• Smart Innovative Sustainable Development and Eco Initiative (SISDEI)
• Smart Digital School
• Artificial Intelligence Advanced Innovation Research and Development Center (AIAIRDC)
He has participated in international events and competitions such as Asia World Model United Nations, International Virtual Youth Fest, Best Manifesto (2nd) Award at the United Nation Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB) Shadow Youth Parliament 2022, and Green Day Training (GDT) from the Bangladesh Youth Environmental Initiative (BYEI) supported by the US Embassy in Dhaka. He is a campus ambassador for National STEAM Olympiad (supported by Bangladesh Ministry of Education) and International Union of Natural Resources. He is also a member of Chittagong University Career Club.
He is interested in participating in extracurricular activities and Olympiads. He is very passionate about researching science, space, technology, and environment. He has acquired many leadership skills and knowledge working in various organizations, and he likes to lead. He is interested in working with various technologies including artificial intelligence, machine learning, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), Internet of Things (IOT), automation, cyber security, and data science engineering. He wants to make the future world and Bangladesh strong and livable by innovating through artificial intelligence technology. He wants to play an important role in building a Smart Bangladesh by 2041. He likes to work on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Renewable Energy. He likes to watch science fiction and adventure movies, and likes to go on adventure education tours. He enjoys reading a lot of books and acquiring knowledge, programming, public speaking, sports.
