Millennium Fellowship Project: Healing Rhythms
The 'Healing Rhythms' Project is a student-led initiative aimed at addressing the issue of mental health
among university students. The lack of resources and counseling services available to students can
negatively impact their well-being and hinder their ability to reach their full potential. The project's
objective is to create a safe and inclusive space for students to discuss their mental health struggles and
provide support to each other with empathy, compassion, and understanding.
The project involves conducting research and surveys to identify students' specific needs and
perspectives, organizing mental health awareness campaigns, and providing mental health first aid
training sessions both offline and online with help of field expertise. In addition to creating a supportive
community for students, The 'Healing Rhythms' Project plans to establish a professional database of
university alumni. This database will serve as a resource for students to seek guidance and professional
help from experienced professionals during the project's duration.
The initiative aims to address a significant societal issue that is often stigmatized and contribute to
achieving SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 ( Quality Education)
Furthermore, The 'Healing Rhythms' Project has a long-term goal of establishing peer support groups
among students who are passionate about it and creating an online platform where students can
express their struggles and seek support. Additionally, the project aims to raise funds to help students
who require professional help but cannot afford it.
Through these efforts, The 'Healing Rhythms' Project aims to address a significant societal issue and
make a positive change in the lives of university students.
