Millennium Fellowship Project: Tranquil wellness initiative
The project offers free counselling service to secondary students and the community as a whole in slum areas under SDG 3.
About the Millennium Fellow
Shantal Atieno is passionate student partaking counseling psychology at Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Kenya. Shantal believes that mental health is a vital aspect in one’s life that can influence one’s failure or success. When one is in distress , they tend not to function well hence not accomplishing set goals. Through her project , she aims to help children in children homes and the the ones also in schools in slum area have a positive view of the future by bringing about good mental health and well-being so that they can have a life full of bliss and tranquility. After Shantal graduates , she plans to earn a master’s degree in the same field of study then do a course in peace and justice. She hopes to help the region in aspects of well-being , peace and justice.
