Millennium Fellowship Project: GreenSteps

Environmental impact nowadays is a global concern; hence, a cohort of Dhaka International University has taken the initiative for a project named GreenSteps. It aims to mitigate impacts by creating awareness among the local community and stakeholders. The Greensteps cohort observes that due to unplanned urbanization and extreme usage of plastic, there is insufficient transportation. Pollution is rapidly increasing in Dhaka city, and local people are mainly affected by different types of environmental impact, which harms a vast majority of livelihoods. Moreover, it becomes one of the main headaches in our society. Considering this issue, Greenstep aims to reduce these problems by creating awareness among the local people. Greensteps is trying to build social networking to create awareness and reach at least 5000 people. It will work as a path to reduce the vulnerability of our nature. Our main focus is to create a sustainable community by creating awareness.
