Millennium Fellowship Project: DKU Sustainability Online Information Platform

The project focuses on building online platforms for Duke Kunshan University students in regard to sustainability actions, places, challenges, and more. In collaboration with members of the school's Sustainable DKU club, we are first creating a website to store all this information. This will also serve as the club's official website. Once we have it published, we plan to create a WeChat service account to connect it to the website for easy access for the audience we are serving (students in China). In addition to this, we have members going to relevant places (such as thrift stores, farms, etc) to take photos, provide recent reviews, and try to collaborate with the owners, if possible, to create incentives for students to visit.

About the Millennium Fellow

Disty Mahmud is a sophomore at Duke Kunshan University studying Computation and Design. Currently based in China, she is originally from Bandung, Indonesia, but has lived in the US, Saudi Arabia, and North Macedonia. The opportunity to experience various cities across different continents solidified her interest in the built environment. She is interested in finding ways to incorporate emerging technologies into urban development for better livability and enhanced public spaces and communication.
