Millennium Fellowship Project: Building Climate Consciousness from Community
This project consists of many "grassroots" movements to get more students involved in Sustainability and Climate Action at Duke Kunshan University. The end goal of this is to have the ability to push for more centralized changes (such as an office of sustainability, or university policy) on campus.
About the Millennium Fellow
Helene is a junior at Duke Kunshan University studying data science and premed. She adamantly believes that protecting the environment today is the foundation for all human health, and wellbeing in the future.
Through her project, she aims to increase the sustainability consciousness at her college through various means, largely drawing on the strong sense of community present. She believes sustainability would also be a means to bring people closer together.
After DKU, she plans on continuing her studies in medical school to become a doctor and researcher.
