Millennium Fellowship Project: South-North Scholars@DKU
South-North Scholars@DKU (SNS@DKU) is the formal student club chapter of South-North Scholars at Duke Kunshan University (DKU). SNS@DKU aims to expand South-North Scholars' mission to the DKU community.
About South-North Scholars:
South-North Scholars (SNS) is the world's first knowledge network on global development run by students, for students. We provide the youth with the global knowledge and connections needed to launch thoughtful careers in solving humanity’s critical development challenges.
We care about addressing humanity's most pressing challenges and we aim to cultivate the next generation of global problem solvers that will have a positive impact, whether that is from governments, multilateral organizations, the private sector or academia. To achieve this, we provide resources for students to get in touch with issues related to sustainble development, we are kicking off the first undergraduate-led journal in the Global South (Nexus), and we host innovative events such as the Global Speakers Series, where we have discussions with academics and professionals working in relevant development initiatives and institutions (e.g., United Nations and professors working on Development Economics-related topics).
We were founded at Duke in the United States and at Duke Kunshan in China, and we are currently working on expanding our presence throughout university campuses across the globe.
