Millennium Fellowship Project: Creating Awareness on drug abuse
Embarking on a transformative social impact project, I spearheaded a comprehensive campaign against drug abuse at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology. Through engaging talks, inclusive meetings, insightful surveys, and empowering peer education sessions, I sought to dismantle myths, foster unity, and address the critical issue of drug abuse among my peers. Notably, we invited clinical psychologists and recovering addicts to share their stories, breaking the stigma and shedding light on the path to recovery. The project also focused on spreading awareness about available support, creating a community that is informed, compassionate, and ready to tackle the challenges of addiction head-on. This initiative marked a crucial step towards building a resilient and supportive environment for mental health and well-being.
