Millennium Fellowship Project: Female Friendly Initiative

Female Friendly is an initiative to educate people in regards to women’s reproductive health. The goal is to raise awareness about topics that are not being discussed enough within the classroom, but due to their high importance and relevance in today’s society, they should be. Female Friendly breaks stigmas about various issues involving women’s health, family planning, and birth control, to name a few. Regardless of gender or sex, it’s still important to remain educated!

About the Millennium Fellow

Angelica McCalla is a senior biology student at the Honors College of Florida International University. Angelica's profound commitment to healthcare and education resulted in creating a transformative initiative, Female Friendly. Her innovative project heightens awareness on women's reproductive diseases and prevalent health matters that often need addressing in educational settings. She started this initiative in October 2020. Her passion for educating others about health only continues to grow. After she graduates, she plans to earn a medical degree to use her knowledge in medicine, research, and education to positively impact her patients and the broader community as a practicing physician.
