Millennium Fellowship Project: Domestic Violence and Law
In this project, we aimed to teach women about their legal rights, specifically related to domestic violence (DV). In Pakistan, DV is a presistent issue that transcends religion, caste, social and economical status. We wanted women to be aware of the protection law porvides to them.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ayesha Munir is a is a young, determined, and competitive law student at Fatima Jinnah Women University in Pakistan. Ayesha has always aspired to be a lawyer. Ayesha is passionate about women's rights. She desires to be a lawyer so she can advocate for women's rights and help the vulnerable achieve justice. Through her project, Ayesha aims to bring light to legal protection for women who are victim of domestic violence.
