Millennium Fellowship Project: Domestic Violence and Law

This project aims to educate young women of Pakistan regarding domestic violence. Domestic violence is one of the violence very common here and faced by most women. This project will deal with factors and how law deals with it. This project will encourage women to stand for themselves and to take steps if they face domestic violence.

About the Millennium Fellow

Yamema is a student of law at Fatima Jinnah Women University, Pakistan. Yamema is passionate about how the individual can have an impact on the world around them with the help of law and social actions. As a native of Pakistan, much of her education focused on the laws and its application in the region to improve the working of society. Through her project, she hopes to help the region work efficiently and maintain stability. After she graduates, Yamema plans to earn a master's degree.
