Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental health awareness and support
This project is aimed to care for the mental health of teenagers and the youth generally. This is being done to reduce sucide rate in my country. It is hard for people who are mentally stressed to reach out for help so reaching out to them is the best way to help. The aim of this project is to reach out to mentally stressed persons give necessary assistance and helping them to get professional care.
About the Millennium Fellow
Oyebanjo ADERONKE is a 2nd year medical student at Federal University Lafia,Nigeria. Aderonke is passionate about how the mental health of a person and the community as a whole can be improved to give a better and healthy society. As a Nigerian her goal is to help in making the Nigerian society better by spreading awarenessto reduce sucide,drug abuse and other consequences of poor mental health. Through her project, she hopes to help the region become a forerunner in creativity and productivity. After she graduates, Ari plans to earn a master's degree in public health and work on preventive medicine as well as public enlightenment and community medicine.
