Millennium Fellowship Project: HEALTH PRIORITY
Health priority project, is a project that was aimed at providing free medical screening on non communicable diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, and also provides health education on these non communicable diseases. In the project we also provided free medications refill for those with a known history of hypertension and diabetes who were on prescription medication from their doctors but their medications got finished and couldn't afford them.
About the Millennium Fellow
I am muhammed Mbye, am 27 year old. A young peacbuilder and civil society volunteer from the Gambia. I am serving as the finance director for two leading civil society organisations: African Youth Architects and Activista the Gambia NBR chapter.
Am in my third year at the University of the Gambia, pursing a bachelors degree in History. I hold a diploma in peace and conflict studies from SoS in 2019 and Higer Teacher's certificate from the Gambia college in 2017. Am a certified education researcher trained by African youth Architects research Lab in 2022.
