Millennium Fellowship Project: Climate change-SDG 13

Climate change is a pressing global issue that requires immediate attention. It is caused by the excessive release of greenhouse gases, primarily carbon dioxide, into the atmosphere. These gases trap heat and lead to a rise in global temperatures, resulting in various negative impacts such as melting ice caps, rising sea levels, and extreme weather events. To combat climate change, it is crucial to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by transitioning to clean and renewable energy sources, implementing energy-efficient practices, and adopting sustainable land-use policies. Additionally, promoting reforestation and afforestation efforts can help absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. International cooperation and collective action are essential in addressing this issue, as climate change knows no borders. By taking decisive action now, we can mitigate the worst effects of climate change and create a sustainable future for generations to come.

About the Millennium Fellow

Nato Ceesay is a young girl of age 21 who is so interested in social work and the empowerment of women and girls and for that reason she's applied for this fellowship. Shé loves reading, cooking, researching and watching reality TV shows. She's passionate about making à change and wants to learn alot about climate change and how best to empower her fellow young girls and women.
