Millennium Fellowship Project: HEALTH PRIORITY

Health priority project, is a project that was aimed at providing free medical screening on non communicable diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, and also provides health education on these non communicable diseases. In the project we also provided free medications refill for those with a known history of hypertension and diabetes who were on prescription medication from their doctors but their medications got finished and couldn't afford them.

About the Millennium Fellow

Sarata is a third year political science student at the University of The Gambia, she serve as a vice chairperson of the university of the Gambia student union electoral commission. She is a youth volunteer and has a strong commitment in serving her community. Sarata has recently been selected to attend the Young African Leadership Initiative cohort 43 and currently working with a conservation organisation to combat climate Change serving as their co programs coordinator.
