Millennium Fellowship Project: Sleep Safe ATL
Sleep Safe ATL aims to advance the nature and construction of homeless shelters and the distribution process of mental health resources within the local city of Atlanta, GA to grant houseless individuals with a new chance of life that offers clean, safe, and humane housing with consistent and nutritious food and waterwhile improving their overall state of mind.
About the Millennium Fellow
Afeni Laws is a Dual Degree Senior studying Biomedical Engineering and Biology at Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA, USA. She is passionate about social justice, healthcare reform, and increasing accessibility to basic necessities to those in lower-income communities. With the ongoing local and global epidemic of homelessness, Afeni has hopes of expanding on the nature at which mental health rehabilitation centers, food banks, housing shelters, and more are advertised to those in need and aims to be at the forefront of change.
