Millennium Fellowship Project: Clean Car Project

As gas car emissions are a portion of the greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming, I’m working to develop a program to make electric vehicles more accessible. I'm frustrated by the price tag on electric vehicles, and how they are not in reach to the majority of people around the world. I’m addressing this issue by developing a community program to safely, and cost- and material-efficiently, convert gasoline cars to electric vehicles for low-income areas. There are educational materials on how to convert cars online, but it can be costly and unsafe. My program would identify and streamline a process that can cheaply convert cars so that electric vehicles are accessible for everyone who can afford a car. This would be local at first and then expand and evolve as time progresses.
