Millennium Fellowship Project: Griffith University Drop-In Health Clinic

Griffith University ‘Pop up Health clinic’ provided drop-in services to university students, to foster a healthy, supported community. These stalls ran over the university trimester, and presented a variety of resources for students, such as: information from Australian Institute for Suicide Research and Prevention, resources from Headspace, mindfulness tasks (i.e.guided meditations), resources for exam preparation (i.e. effective study techniques) and support giveaways (e.g. fruit, stress balls). The aim of this clinic is to link Griffith students with access to health resources, as well as an understanding as to how to look after their own wellbeing.

About the Millennium Fellow

In a world of uncertainty, the Millennium Fellowship Class of 2023 is one step closer to creating a safe and stable environment for all. Leadership and drive underpin this as a group of like-minded individuals come together to aid in achieving the global Sustainable Development Goals. My group and I are targeting SDG3 'Good Health and Wellbeing' in a way that promotes both mental and physical health services for our community, whilst utilising the leadership philosophy "lead with your heart, act with your head". This ensures true-valued and empathetic intentions, and well-informed fair decision-making, to benefit everyone's health.
