Millennium Fellowship Project: Towards Equality

“Towards Equality” is a project aimed at SDGs 5 and 10, reducing inequalities in society. As myself, a South Korean currently residing in Australia, my goal is to create an equal community for marginalised groups in these two countries, specifically for women. For example, the main marginalised groups in South Korea are Korean women in a typical Confucian culture of workplaces and North Korean defectors, while the focus in Australia includes their Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (First Nations) people.

About the Millennium Fellow

Jenny Woo is an undergraduate student at Griffith University, Nathan Campus in Australia, majoring in hotel management. Jenny is passionate about reducing inequalities across various fields, such as genders, races, and ethnic groups, and creating an inclusive society. Through her project, she hopes to create awareness and inclusion of marginalised groups. After she graduates, Jenny plans to work in the hospitality and tourism industry while contributing to the improvements of the SDGs in workplaces and society.
