Millennium Fellowship Project: Second Serve
The project recognizes the environmental consequences of single-use plastics and aims to revolutionize the way plastic waste is approached. By targeting catering outlets within university campuses, the project aims to bring about significant change and leverage universities as hubs of innovation and catalysts for social impact. We will provide outlets which currently use single use takeawaay boxes with reusable containers, and through the ecosystem of our app, collection spots, the student community and the catering outlets, we aim to eliminate single use containers altogether, and create a circular economy.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ileana is a third year Mechanical Engineering student at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and she is minoring in Computing. By utilising her strong foundation in research, she aims to combine technology and sustainability and do her part in making Hong Kong greener.
