Millennium Fellowship Project: Elder-Esay: A Simplified Digital Education Platform for Seniors
Elder-easy, also known as "理樂易," is an educational app specifically designed for the elderly population. Derived from the connotations of the name - Happy, Easy, and a nod to the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the app is tailored to make digital learning a joyful and willing experience for seniors. The platform is free of charge and available for all smartphones. It provides comprehensive guides on popular apps in Hong Kong and Mainland China. A unique points reward system allows users to earn MoneyBack points upon completing learning tasks, which can be exchanged for gifts or vouchers from various companies
About the Millennium Fellow
CUI Zhisheng, known as Eddie, is a dedicated student at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University where he majors in Linguistics and Translation. Holding a position in the top 1% of his class, Eddie's academic pursuits span from language technology to syntax and semantics. His research, particularly on the role of dialecticism in Chinese skits, offers a unique lens into linguistic patterns. Beyond the classroom, Eddie has shared his passion for language as an English instructor in Shenzhen and contributed to his community through various initiatives at PolyU. As a Millennium Fellow, Eddie represents a blend of academic commitment, cultural insights, and community involvement.
