Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Clean Circuit
This project is aimed at creating, cultivating and encouraging awareness on plastic and
plastic waste, it is also geared towards proper disposal and management of plastic
waste in the environment.
The project involves using the 5 R's of waste as a basis for handling plastic waste and
its generation. The 5 R's are Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose and Recycle.
It involves creating awareness through education of students and youths on the 5 R's
of waste management and how they can eliminate plastic pollution and accumulation
in the environment. I will do this through meetings, text and digital media.
The project would also involve acting as middlemen between members of the society
and plastic waste generated and recycling companies, ensuring proper sorting,
disposal and management of plastic waste and ensure its reaching the right recycling
agencies.
