Millennium Fellowship Project: Climate Action Advocacy

In commemoration of the World Clean-up Day. I was able to mobilise the University students with the help of the Students' Union to create awareness about the effects of plastic pollution on human health through e - campiagn .
About 259 students participated in the activities- retrieving solid wastes from the University community and creating awareness on the dqngers of plastic pollution. About 200kg of plastic with 39kg of other solid wastes were recoverd. The plastics were picked up by the Recycling Organization.

Another plastic recovery was done with some of my co- fellows in University of Ibadan Cohort A. It was a collaboration between Plogging Nigeria and Millennium Campus Network. About 30kg of wastes were recoverd from the University communiy.
