Millennium Fellowship Project: Break the Cycle: Overcoming Addictions

Over the years, reports by various global health organizations has
shown a rapid increase in the rate of addictions. These addictions
have been widely observed especially among young people.
In our present day, some common addictions includes drug abuse,
sex addiction, and internet use among many others.
A statistics conducted by the World Health Organization in 2019
has showed that more than 2.6 million people between the ages of
10 to 24 die yearly from drug and substance abuse. Most deaths,
illnesses and disabilities experienced by people have also been
associated with substance use disorder than any other preventable
health condition.
The aim of Break the cycle: Overcoming addictions is to create more awareness on the need for people, especially undergraduate students to prioritize their mental health needs and seek help from professionals when battling any addictions.
