Millennium Fellowship Project: WasteSmart ICT
Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT); is an autonomous university specific to chemical engineering and allied fields situated in Matunga, Mumbai, India.
Our team of Millennium Fellows of Class 2022-23 from ICT, Mumbai; are working on a project that would reduce the amount and types of wastes which go out of our Institute. This will be a pilot project in our Institute. Our this project, is essentially a pilot industrial mechanism/process, by which we would convert waste(of all types generated in ICT) to monetizable or usable products. Hence, creating an ICT specific circular economy!
The success of our project will be measured by:
1. How much of the processed waste have we converted into monetizable products?
2. How much of a circular economy have we created of our existing economy in ICT?
3. By how much the number and frequency of all types of garbage trucks coming to ICT, have reduced?
4. If successfully operational, to how many more Institutes have we spread our this mechanism/method?
