Millennium Fellowship Project: WasteSmart ICT
WasteSmart ICT is a pioneering waste management project driven by a commitment to sustainability, responsible production and climate action. Its primary objective is to revolutionize waste management by significantly reducing landfill waste and minimizing the frequency of garbage truck collections within our institution. By optimizing waste collection, segregation, and recycling processes, the initiative not only enhances operational efficiency but also significantly contributes to mitigating environmental impact. This involves the implementation of advanced waste segregation practices, including the recycling of materials like food waste and plastics within the institute. The ultimate vision extends beyond our institution, with plans to establish collaborations and share best practices with other educational and research institutes, further promoting sustainable waste management practices on a broader scale.
