Millennium Fellowship Project: Analytics for Sustainability
Our project addresses the critical issue of food waste in hostel mess halls through the application of predictive modeling. Aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), our primary goal is to minimize food waste while ensuring adequate meal portions, thereby enhancing sustainability in dining facilities.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ashrita is a student of chemical engineering at IIT Madras. She wants her work to create a positive impact on the most vulnerable lives. Driven by a deep sense of purpose, she aspires to leverage her academic journey to create meaningful solutions that uplift and empower those who need it the most. She also loves to write poetry.
