Millennium Fellowship Project: PROJECT MEHVIYAT: BE FOUND BEYOND BLOOD
Project Mehviyat is a social impact initiative aimed at addressing the pervasive issue of generational trauma and toxic family dynamics. Our mission aligns with key Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal #3 for health and well-being. The project operates via its "Be Found" community, focusing on breaking the chains of destructive family patterns and fostering healing among its approximately 35 members.
Through engaging activities such as shadow work journaling, gratitude circles, book readings, and prompt discussions, Project Mehviyat empowers individuals to untangle complex generational patterns, redefine identities, and cultivate healthy relationships via several weekly activities facilitated via the program coordinators.
The content team, guided by the core team, produces long-form researched content and subjective write-ups, with monthly themes proposed and approved collaboratively. To expand our reach, the graphics team creates dynamic visuals, while the social media team strategically spreads awareness about our issues on platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn.
Project Mehviyat is committed to creating a safe space for individuals to learn, grow, and heal. Our vision encompasses fostering empathy, understanding, and resilience, ultimately contributing to breaking the cycle of generational trauma and building a community where everyone can “be found beyond blood.”
