Millennium Fellowship Project: Rural Environmental Sanitation
Environmental hygiene is very paramount to any healthy society/ community. The
Angwa Rukuba Market is a major centre for buying and selling food items. Whenever
I go to the market to buy food stuff, I always notice the unhygienic nature of the
market environment, which developed a great passion for me to organise an
environmental hygiene awareness and sanitation for better health.
I have had several discussions with some of the traders and buyers as a way of
feasibility studies to map out the goals of the project.
Having carried out several needs assessments, I therefore will boldly state that the project is indeed a great need of the market community, and I am sincerely drive to
execute the project in due time for the promotion of good and quality health.
I have to fully initiate and complete the project within August and November 2023
About the Millennium Fellow
Otache Favour Abel was born on April 6th, 1989, in Enugu state capital. He had his primary and secondary education in
Army Children School and Army Day secondary school in Ikom, Cross River State, respectively. Afterwhich he proceeded to obtained a bachelor of science degree in biological sciences from the Benue State University, Makurdi in 2014 and undergo the mandatory 1year national youth service (NYSC) in plateau state the year 2016 where he passed out as the overall best corp member with the state government honours award of excellence.
With regard to his deep passion and interests in the medical profession, he applied and was admitted into medicine and surgery at the University of Jos, where he is currently a 500L medical student.
