Millennium Fellowship Project: Project SunKissed.

Project SunKissed aims to empower communities in dry regions by utilizing solar dehydrators to address agricultural challenges. The project seeks to educate and provide resources for communities to preserve surplus crops, reduce food waste, and enhance food security. The project objectives include educating communities about solar dehydrators, providing resources for implementation, fostering collaboration between communities, and enhancing food security. The approach involves conducting workshops and training sessions in dry regions, providing technical assistance and resources for implementation, and encouraging collaboration between communities. The expected impact includes improved food security, sustainable agriculture practices, economic empowerment through income generation, and knowledge and skill development for community members. The success of the project depends on collaboration, knowledge exchange, and community commitment to embrace this innovative solution.

About the Millennium Fellow

Mohamed Omar is a final year medical student in Uganda. He strives to have a better life for himself and those around him. A very passionate individual about food and dreams of a world where food becomes as thoughtless as oxygen is to each one of us. Hopefully he gets capacitance to start an initiative that would attempt to end hunger since food is a basic need to all, all should be able to access it.
