Millennium Fellowship Project: Glaucoma Awareness
Glaucoma is a set of eye diseases which leads to progressive optic nerve damage. It has increased ocular pressure as the only modifiable risk factor. Because of glaucoma causing numerous cases of irreversible blindness, there is the need for awareness creation.
This project will focus on creating or increasing awareness about glaucoma in the Agogo state or surrounding areas. It will also focus on sensitizing the public through talks and demonstrations on the importance of visiting the eye clinics to get their eyes checked and the benefits of early detection.
