Millennium Fellowship Project: The Legal Literacy Program

The legal literacy program advances legal literacy in Ghana through the use of social media. Through my work as managing partner of Sikafuturo@law, I have embarked on various campaigns on social media educating the masses on the law, their rights and freedoms.

About the Millennium Fellow

Murphy Opoku Appiah is a young man with the vision to transform education by contributing to the attainment of quality education for all. Murphy is a law student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He aspires to be a lawyer whiles contributing to the global community through diplomacy, advocacy and protecting minority groups especially in terms of education and literacy. He believes that quality education is intertwined with accessible legal education. He believes that legal literacy is a major step in achieving quality education. Murphy is a natural advocate with prolific skills in writing and public speaking. He is empathetic, affable, tolerant and dedicated. He believes that leadership is more about service to others than to self and is ever ready to lead. He serves as the President of the Law Students' Union of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, the President of the Mooting Society of the Law Students' Union, the managing partner of sikafuturolaw.com, and a member of the Judicial Committee of the University Students Association of Ghana.
