Millennium Fellowship Project: Environment and Climate Hub Uganda
Environmental Hub Uganda is a student initiative for young people passionate about environmental protection. We aim at training and empowering more environmentalists in kyambogo university to a point of growing into a movement where we have change ambassadors all around the country to ease reaching out and impacting the whole of Uganda
About the Millennium Fellow
Rodrick Muhumure is an Environmental Science, Technology and Management student at Kyambogo University. Growing up in a typical rural poor community in the deep areas of Kamwenge district - Uganda, under very high levels of Poverty, Pollution and diverse effects of Climate Change, Rodrick's desire to transform the local community grows stronger day by day. He is also the founder of BRICKS Environment and Climate Hub Initiative Uganda to help address the Environment, Climate and Social effects of the community. With this project, he plans to directly address the effects of the above factors so as ensure socio-economic development. In the long run, this project is expected to create thousands of jobs to support the growing population. Muhumure is committed to continuing with his academics till he achieves Doctorate which shall be dedicated to supporting the local communities.
