Millennium Fellowship Project: Healthy Earth

This project is about enhancing public health by ensuring that people have access to safe and clean water sources and that the environment is free from pollution and hazardous waste.
The project will involve a range of activities that contribute to the protection and preservation of water resources and the environment, including:
1. water treatment: This involves the provision of water treatment facilities that help remove contaminants from water sources, making it safe for human consumption. This may involve using filtration, chlorination, or other disinfection methods
2. Environmental education: This involves educating communities about the importance of keeping the environment clean and safe, and encouraging them to take action to protect it. This may involve training on waste reduction, sustainable farming practices, and proper water usage.
Overall, this project is aimed at enhancing public health, reducing incidence of waterborne disease and also to promote sustainable environmental practices.

About the Millennium Fellow

Yusuf-Esilokun Hamid, a Lagos (Nigeria) indigene and a fourth-year undergraduate student of the Department of Biochemistry, Lagos State University. Born in Year 2000, Hamid is an aspiring biochemist and software developer driven with passion for scientific exploration and positive impact. His inquisitive mindset and thirst for knowledge have not only made him stand out but also as a source of inspiration among peers.
Yusuf-Esilokun Hamid as an agent of positive impact co-founded local initiatives and has involved in global initiatives promoting human empowerment and skill acquisition.
Wherever he finds himself Hamid's commitment to improving himself and his environment is unwavering.
