Millennium Fellowship Project: Green Campus
Human activity, fueled by fossil fuels, emits harmful gases that damage our environment, health, and climate. The Lebanese American University produces 24,000+ tons of CO2 annually, equal to 7000 cars. To address this, my project proposes solar panels on rooftops, energy-efficient ideas, and awareness campaigns to shrink LAU's carbon footprint and inspire eco-conscious leaders.
About the Millennium Fellow
Armen Tatian is a sophomore political science student at the Lebanese American University in Beirut, Lebanon who is also minoring in Legal studies. Armen is interested in how he himself can cause the world to change, in the image he wishes it to be. As a Lebanese native, one of the many reasons he took this education is to prevent the corruption that leads to the decay of countries, like the one Lebanon and many other countries have seen. After graduation, Armen plans to master in public policy or international law, something that will give him the power to fix this God forsaken world.
