Millennium Fellowship Project: Empower Her
SNV/IRC study report (2020) report indicated that 60% of girls missed school during their menstruation. There are 220 learning days in a year and out of those the 60% miss 24 learning days which translates to 11%. My project is aimed at saving the 11% by teaching young women and men in marginalized communities how to make reusable pads to promote sustainability and equipping them with menstrual hygiene training to enable them manage menstruation better.
