Millennium Fellowship Project: Girls in Action foundation
Girls in Action foundation is a Youth led project and a community driven initiative that recognises the potential of every girl child especially those in rural areas.The project aims to empower and address the inequalities among young girls, schooldrop outs, teenage mothers by providing practical skills training that enhances their self confidence, employability and overall- well being .The key major objectives for this project are; Digital literacy, skills development, health and hygiene, Gender sensitization and Negotiating and conflict resolution.
About the Millennium Fellow
Am Aber Sharon a final year student at Makerere University persuing a Bachelors degree of Arts in Social sciences with major in psychology.I come from a humble family in Palabek Gem sub County in Lamwo district in Northern Uganda.Am very passionate about improving people's lives, I mentor and train teenage mothers, school dropouts and family heads using the upshift technic of training to help these category of people in our community think critically and come up with innovative solutions to the different social issues they face in their daily lives.
