Sustainable clean water and sanitation.
The community around maseno University faced lack of clean water and sanitation. Partnering with the health sector i distributed water purifiers (aqua tablets) and trained the community on proper waste management strategies.
About the Millennium Fellow
Mercy Nasenya Miroya is a risk management specialist from Maseno university Kenya. She grew up and attained her primary education in the rural village in Transnzoia county, Kenya. The hardships in her community and many other communities made her a strong leader since childhood. At Maseno university she has done presentations for different projects and proposals that help mitigate climate change. She's currently advancing SDG 6 in her community and aspiring to expand to many communities.
