Millennium Fellowship Project: THE INNOCENT OYOLA INITIATIVE " CRIME AND YOUTHS"

THE INNOCENT OYOLA INITIATIVE is a project set to address the issues of youth engaging in crimes both self- motivated crimes and organized crimes in the context of having a third party motivator.
This project is set to address the Sustainable development goals 16 and 4 respectively. The main driver of the project being seeing how the youths have been at the centre of being involved in perpetrating crimes. This menace in return has brought about fear, tension and social excursion within the society.
Conducting this project will enable the entire community but not limited to Maseno community identify possible drivers of criminal engagements amongst the youths and the most influential or possible way of curtailing the occurrence of these acts within yhe community even with absence of possible guardians.
The project is working in partnership with Maseno police station, the youths, the local community members and the Maseno University students. Their involvement in this inquiry is set to address the most compatible and solid deterrence of youths in crime without incapacitation and even use of illegal mob justice.
