Millennium Fellowship Project: Jaagrukta
Our project "Jaagrukta" (which means "awareness") has aimed to educate people
where our primary goal is to create awareness. Through social media, we educate people about the concepts of peace, equality, culture, gender equality, human
rights and gender sensitization. We disseminate information on the available
educational opportunities, the rights people have and how to exercise these rights
through legal measures. The problem we are against is the misinformation regarding education and culture that a lot of social media handles spread among the common people. We wish to combat this spread of misinformation by proliferating well-researched set of information.
About the Millennium Fellow
Deeksha Choudhary is a political science major pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree at Miranda House College, University of Delhi in Delhi, India. Deeksha is dedicated and enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of those around her. Originating from a less contemporary social class, she has long advocated for greater public understanding of the ideals of peace, equality, culture, gender, human rights, and gender sensitization. With her initiative, she hopes to achieve this goal on a much broader scale. After she graduates, Deeksha plans to pursue a master's degree in international relations and work in a related field.
