Millennium Fellowship Project: Kijiji Kwetu: Our Sustainable Village Initiative

> My current initiative, "Kijiji Kwetu: Our Sustainable Village," is centered on the vital objectives of SDG 11 and 13, aiming to create inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable cities while addressing urgent climate change concerns.

> My approach focuses on grassroots awareness and sustainable practices, firmly believing that global sustainability begins locally.

> By fostering collaborations with community members and stakeholders, we ignite positive change, one village at a time, collectively paving the way toward a brighter, genuinely sustainable future.

About the Millennium Fellow

Alvin Munene Maina is a driven sustainable development advocate and real estate student at Mount Kenya University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Management. As an SDG 11 & 13 Advocate and peer counselor, Alvin is dedicated to fostering inclusive communities on campus and empowering student success.

He has represented Kenya globally as a delegate for the UN-Habitat Assembly and World Bank Youth Summit. Through cultural exchange programs in Germany and community service initiatives, Alvin demonstrates a commitment to intercultural collaboration, well-being, and positive change.

His goal is to apply his bold leadership, critical thinking, and passion for sustainability to build more just, resilient cities and communities worldwide.
