Millennium Fellowship Project: F.A.C.E

My millennium project is F.A.C.E, Fight Against Child Exploitation. The commercial sexual exploitation of children is a faceless crime with millions of faces, where the suffering, trauma, and abuse happen with no one seeing it. This advocacy project is focused on creating community interactions where we advocate against this issue. My partner institution is My Life My Choice, from which I have been able to talk to the Public Policy and Advocacy Manager on effective methods in which to advocate and create a community for which I shall continue this advocacy further. With the help of My Life My Choice's training and the EMMA Coalition's fight for the Equality Model in Massachusetts, F.A.C.E. is designed to advocate for Bills and Hearings that can change children's lives. Through peer-to-peer advocacy and various forms of media, the project aims to engage the Northeastern community, including students and faculty, to eventually reach most, if not all, of the universities in the Boston and greater Boston area.
The F.A.C.E project will create a community of students and professors to strive for a better environment in Boston and Massachusetts by creating awareness and long-term advocacy. Through this method, hopefully, we can reach a world where no child is exploited and ends as a faceless victim.
