Millennium Fellowship Project: Campus Care Crew

The proposed project aims to support engineering college students during the high-pressure placement and internship season, recognizing the mental health challenges they face. To address this, a support group will be formed to create a safe space for students to share their feelings and experiences, fostering a supportive community.

This initiative seeks to offer emotional support, promoting confidence and resilience among students transitioning into the professional world. Furthermore, the project aims to reduce the stigma around mental health by connecting students with mental health professionals, creating a welcoming environment for those seeking help.

Ultimately, the project aims to alleviate the stress and pressure that students experience during this critical phase, offering both emotional support and access to mental health resources as they navigate their career transitions.

About the Millennium Fellow

Amit Kumar is a Mechanical Engineering student at National Institute of Technology Karnataka. Besides excelling in studies, he's a passionate advocate for Women and Queer Rights. He is also a published writer in reputable magazines and newspapers. He is a recipient of the 2023 Boeing Scholarship and is actively engaged in raising awareness about Climate Change. His remarkable ingenuity shone brightly when his innovative solution for managing Battery Waste emerged victorious in the "Trash to Treasure" Hackathon, hosted by the Central Pollution Control Board, India. This multifaceted individual's commitment to both education and societal betterment continues to make a significant impact.
