Millennium Fellowship Project: Society for Her Empowerment (SHE)
The Society for Her Empowerment (SHE) is a women's group dedicated to empowering female students and providing them with the tools and resources they need to succeed in any environment. Through a variety of events and activities, SHE aims to create valuable experiences and support women in pursuing their dream careers.
SHE envisions a future where women are equally represented and celebrated for their contributions to the technology-driven world. The project seeks to empower women to reach their full potential and become leaders in their chosen fields.
SHE organizes a diverse range of activities throughout the year, including:
Guest Lectures: Renowned female engineers and professionals are invited to share their experiences, insights, and career advice with students.
Workshops: Practical workshops are conducted on topics such as resume building, interview skills, coding, data science, and more, equipping students with valuable skills for their future careers.
Networking Events: SHE facilitates networking opportunities for students to connect with alumni and other professionals, build valuable relationships, and gain insights into various career paths.
Awareness Campaigns: SHE raises awareness about gender equality and inspires young women to pursue careers in STEM fields.
Mentorship Programs: Experienced women leaders mentor younger students, providing them with personalized guidance, support, and encouragement.
Social Events: SHE organizes social events to foster a strong sense of community and belonging among students, creating a supportive network outside of academic settings.
About the Millennium Fellow
Anagha Dileep is a final-year civil engineering student at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal. With a fervent belief in empowering women to embrace leadership roles, she's determined to tackle the self-doubt and fear of inadequacy that often hold them back. Anagha is passionate about nurturing young girls from an early age, encouraging them to shatter societal stigmas and pursue roles that may initially seem out of their comfort zones. Her commitment to fostering change and breaking barriers serves as an inspiration for her going forward in life.
