Millennium Fellowship Project: Campus Care Crew
The proposed project aims to support engineering college students during the high-pressure placement and internship season, recognizing the mental health challenges they face. To address this, a support group will be formed to create a safe space for students to share their feelings and experiences, fostering a supportive community.
This initiative seeks to offer emotional support, promoting confidence and resilience among students transitioning into the professional world. Furthermore, the project aims to reduce the stigma around mental health by connecting students with mental health professionals, creating a welcoming environment for those seeking help.
Ultimately, the project aims to alleviate the stress and pressure that students experience during this critical phase, offering both emotional support and access to mental health resources as they navigate their career transitions.
About the Millennium Fellow
Aryan Jain is a senior Mechanical Engineering Student at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka located in Mangalore, Karnataka, India. After having seen several calamities caused due to climate change and the lack of proper action following such events, he has become highly passionate about advocating for sustainable development and nurturing the environment for the centuries to come. He also believes anyone can contribute to making a positive change if given the opportunity. As a member of the Campus Care Crew, Aryan aims to create a supportive community to address the stigma surrounding mental health.
