Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainable Waste Management for Campus Community
The project aims to promote sustainable waste management practices in campus communities, with a focus on reducing waste generation, improving waste segregation, and encouraging responsible consumption among students, faculty, and staff. The project will be implemented in collaboration with campus sustainability departments, waste management service providers, and student organizations.
The project's expected outcomes include:
Reduction in waste generation and increase in recycling and composting rates on campus
Improved awareness and understanding of sustainable waste management practices among the campus community
Strengthened partnerships between campus sustainability departments, waste management service providers, and student organizations
Development of a replicable and scalable model for sustainable waste management in other campuses and communities.
Overall, the project aims to foster a culture of sustainability and promote community engagement and service among the campus community by encouraging responsible consumption and sustainable waste management practices.
About the Millennium Fellow
Jay Chaudhry, currently in the third year of the five-year integrated BALLB program at National Law University Delhi (NLUD), is a dedicated and proactive student committed to promoting sustainable waste management within the campus community. With a passion for environmental advocacy, Jay aspires to leverage legal insights to drive impactful change. Through active engagement and collaboration, Jay aims to contribute significantly to the UN Millennium Fellowship and foster a greener, more conscious future.
