Millennium Fellowship Project: Samatva - Equality for All

The term ‘Samatva’ is an abstract concept in Hinduism that
encompasses a state of equanimity, equality, indifference, or
uniformity. The term comes from the Sanskrit root word, sama,
meaning "equal". This concept is held in high regard in the Bhagavad
Gita, and it appears in a lesson that Krishna teaches about evenmindedness.
Our Millennium Fellowship project, Samatva, is all about igniting
positive change on two crucial fronts - combating workplace
discrimination and championing LGBTQIA+ rights. This name perfectly
aligns with our project which is all about igniting positive change
among different communities and creating awareness in respect of
the key issues of LGBTQIA+ rights and workplace discrimination. Our
goal is to spread the message of Samatva, oneness, and harmony,
bringing together people from all backgrounds and promoting
tolerance, understanding, and inclusion for the LGBTQIA+ community
and those facing discrimination in professional settings.
